Coordinating Eaglet’s Medical Care

I still don’t have any medical info on Eaglet from the agency.  In particular, doctors all want to know her birth weight at the very least.  What I do have is from ACS and I’m trying to catch up on appointments my agency never told me about.

Here’s an email I sent regarding this:

Yikes!
So I called to reschedule Eaglet’s ophthalmology appointment at xxxxxxx and I was given the run around about not having her Medicaid number.  They put the doctor on the phone and he wants me to take her to NY Eye and Ear emergency room today or tomorrow.  He said she had ROP and it was “what Stevie Wonder had and if it’s not treated she could go blind”.  He said if they give me a hard time about not having insurance at NY Eye and Ear to have them call his cell phone.

When can I expect her Medicaid come through?
Thanks,

On a more entertaining note, NY Eye and Ear Hospital Emergency Room has free wireless internet - a bit ironic seeing as half of the patients assumingly are having a vision emergency.
