Tickets to Florida bought

Jacket’s mom just lectured me for almost 30 minutes on the need to keep Jacket safe in Florida.  She gave story after story about how “allll the child rapers are in Florida”. 

She might be right, I don’t know the stats, but I’m pretty sure she lives in one of the top 10 most dangerous neighborhoods in the U.S. so it’s a bit ironic.  Everyone back home in Florida is scared to death of Manhattan not to mention the seedier pockets of Brooklyn.  Anyway, most of what she was saying was witchcraft style nonsense but I decided instead to hear “I’m a good mother, I’m thinking about my child’s safety, I’m a good mother, I’m thinking about my child’s safety” over the actual content of whatever she was saying.
