That’s awesome that you’re being a foster parent. I was working briefly in child welfare and I know you’re not one of those “gimme my stipend” types. I was shocked at how many foster parents in DC are only doing it for the $., esp. those who take in “therapetic” kids- the pay rate is way higher.
