Seeking fosterhood friendly roommate
Turns out my friend with a new baby is going to move back to her home state. As a result I have a free bedroom starting July 1. Before I post on craigslist (don’t knock it, I’ve gotten the best roommates turned lifelong friends through them), I thought it might make sense to spread the word here! Ya’ll know the whole situation. I could get someone to sublet for a few months if the right roommate needs a later move in date.
Total rent is $2210 (warning, they plan to raise it by $100 when my lease renewal comes in December) making half $1105. Utilities and internet total just under $300 (crazy, I know), 1 month deposit. Clinton Hill/Bedstuy border (G train on block, C is 8 min walk), elevator, roof access, laundry room, basement storage and optional parking (they charge $100 a month).
And of course there’s the (very simple and no info revealed to me) state background check to keep my foster license.
Feel free to pass the word. Thanks!

Hi! I’m moving to NYC this fall for grad. school (social work) and already found housing, but I know many others in my cohort who are looking for a place to live. I’ll pass this along to them!
