So, Jacket’s mom indeed had an emergency this weekend if one of her siblings unexpectedly dumped their kid on her. It reminds me that Jacket’s mom’s behavior doesn’t come out of nowhere. She’s surrounded by and functioning in a whole system of crazy. And with her cognitive disability, she’ll never climb out.

I can’t take Jacket and a 7 year old boy this week. Thankfully I have a job which prevents me from feeling guilty for not taking the poor kid. It’s probably even too late to get him into YMCA camp or something.

I can’t even imagine the tension in Jacket’s home right now…
