5am- Jacket’s mom canceled the Poconos

As Carrie said, when does Jacket’s mom sleep?

The cancellation is no surprise but somehow I always get my hopes up. I knew I was teetering on the edge by telling her that I would not have internet and phone access (at the time I didn’t know and it was my wishful thinking).

It’s one thing to not respond to her when I don’t have Jacket. It’s a whole different level of guilt when I do. Still, I knew that I just couldn’t deal with the trip and Jacket’s mom using the phone and Skype like a leash (or whip, or chain- yes I can come up with more negative descriptors).

I’m actually really looking forward to turning my phone OFF this weekend.
