Spoke to the detective

Understandably, the detective has been trying to distance herself from Jacket’s mom for a while. I try not to bother her, but I always break down and call. Like last night I left a message. I tried her again today and reached her. She told me that Jacket’s mom called her dozens and dozens of times last night and when she finally answer she was given a story that sounds reasonably close to what we think is going on.

Not sure how/if the police inform ACS? I think we’d have the same case worker since the last case was closed less than 30-days ago. I called the last case worker so often last time that I’m trying to wait to see if she’s even on the case again before ambushing her.

By the way, Jacket’s mom asked if her and grandma (who she continues to claim doesn’t live with her and has her own apartment in mysterious-ville) could spend the night last night. I said no without hesitation (yay!). I told her I could keep Jacket for however long and she can come over and visit anytime.

Might be 2 days or 2 months? Absolutely NO. CLUE.
